TERPS & SHINE

In August, 2017, on a family vacation to Myrtle Beach, Joellyn passed a “4:20” store.  There was a sign saying "CBD/Hemp Products Here". Shocked and somewhat in disbeief, she went in to investigate.  Sure enough, there were CBD/Hemp products for sale!  So many wonderful products. She knew right there, at that moment, she would open a dispensary of her own and share the goodness of the earth in service to her community. Working diligently to make that happen, she spent many hours working with the Small Business Center at the local community college, as well as educating law enforcement and other county officials on just what CBD was and what it wasn't. Eventually she was granted a business license.  On 1/3/18, she received a small investment which gave the boost needed to bring her dream into a reality. Up until 2022, My Green Room was a successful, woman-owned company (LLC.) full of down home, home town people - on both sides of the counter.  My Green Room was located in a 3000 sq ft storefront in Downtown Spindale, NC. As of 1/3/23, We rebranded and are now TERPS AND SHINE! We are getting ready to do some expanding and “My Green Room” just didn’t encompass enough room figuratively and metaphorically. We are now in a 5000 sq ft building with dedicated parking and an outdoor area! We have met some incredible people on the road this summer and want to incorporate them into what we do. Now, Discovery Channel’s Moonshiners and Master Distillers have a place to call HOME in Western NC! You never know who will walk thru our doors at any given time. We have partnered with Crazy Chuck and make the first ever Shine Flavor D8 Gummies! We also have partnered with Social Media Sensation Marge & In Charge to bring you her Cotton Candy Flavored Treats. Master Distiller Alfredo Peña, The Cuban Cowboy also has a product line dropping soon! It’s all just so exciting! We are home of the first smoking Bud Bar and Lounge. Come smoke some hemp with us, watch a movie, host a book club or just chill on Wednesday - Saturday. We will be hosting VIP Nights full with celebrities, food trucks, musicians, and new vendors! Joellyn lives in Rutherford County, NC with her husband, Mike.  They have 2 great kids, 4 incredible grandkids, 4 spunky dogs and 2 cats.  For those of you that have been following their  journey, MIKE RECEIVED HIS TRANSPLANT on 2/25/21!  Mike and Joellyn are so beyond thankful for the Donor and the Donor’s Family as well as all the prayers.
